Axiom Calculator privacy policy

Last updated:

Axiom Calculator is a calculator app by Benji Oddballs Studios. For anything about your data, email privacy@asterahub.app.

The short version

  • Your calculations, settings and wallpaper stay on your device.
  • No accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. We don’t sell your data.
  • The only thing Axiom fetches is currency exchange rates.

What stays on your device

Axiom keeps these in your browser’s storage on your device. They aren’t sent to us or anyone else:

  • Calculation history: the expressions you’ve worked out, their results and any working shown, plus the entries you pin.
  • Settings: your theme, mode and display choices.
  • Wallpaper: if you set your own picture as a background, the picture and the colour readings Axiom takes from it to keep text readable.
  • Saved currency rates: the latest exchange-rate table, so conversions still work offline.

You can clear your history in the app. To remove everything, clear the site’s data in your browser settings or uninstall the app. This can’t be undone.

Currency rates

To keep exchange rates up to date, Axiom downloads a table of rates from a public rates service (open.er-api.com, or a backup copy on cdn.jsdelivr.net). These requests only ask for the latest rates. They don’t include your calculations, settings or anything you’ve typed. Like any website, those services see your IP address when your device asks them for the file.

Using the web app

Axiom is served from its current web address by our hosting provider, which processes your IP address, request details and technical logs to deliver and protect the app. These requests never include your history or settings.

Analytics, advertising and tracking

Axiom has no accounts, advertising, analytics, session recording or behavioural tracking.

Children

Axiom is for people aged 13 and older. It doesn’t ask for any personal information.

Your rights

You can ask what information we hold about you, including under Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU’s GDPR. As Axiom keeps your data on your device, we normally hold none. Email privacy@asterahub.app.

Changes

We’ll update this page when the app’s data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
