Naija Table privacy policy

Naija Table is a games table for Whot, Ludo and chess by Benji Oddballs Studios. For anything about your data, email privacy@asterahub.app.
The short version
- Play with AI and pass and play work without an account, and your settings stay on your device.
- Online rooms need an account: your email address and a username.
- Chips are free play chips with no cash value. We never ask for payment details.
- No advertising and no analytics. We don’t sell your data.
What stays on your device
Your sound, music and table settings, your chosen rules, the name you use at the table, a code that reconnects you to an online room, and a code for your chip wallet are kept in your browser’s storage. You can remove them by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings or uninstalling the app.
Accounts (online play)
Online rooms need an account, provided by Supabase. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we email you, so there’s no password. We keep your email address, a username you choose and the date you joined.
Account data is kept while your account exists. To delete your account, email privacy@asterahub.app.
Online rooms
Rooms run on Cloudflare. While a room is open, it holds the room code, the players’ table names and seats, and the moves of the game, so everyone sees the same table. Quick chat uses set phrases only, not free text. When a room closes, its data is deleted.
Voice chat
If you turn on voice chat in an online room, your microphone’s audio is sent live to the other players in the room through Cloudflare’s real-time service. Voice chat is audio only, and we don’t record it. Your browser asks for permission before using the microphone.
Hotspot play (Beta)
Hotspot play connects phones directly over the local network. Your game doesn’t pass through our servers.
Chips
Every player gets free play chips with no cash value: 1,000 to start and 500 more once a day. Your chip balance is kept on our server under an anonymous code stored on your device. Chips are never sold, cashed out or moved between players, so we never collect payment details.
The Android app
The Android app (APK) works the same way as the web app. It also has an App updates button that checks the Naija Table website for a newer version; Android always asks you before installing one.
If you choose to turn on update notifications, the app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) to receive a short “new version” message. Firebase analytics are off. Turning notifications off in the app stops them and asks Firebase to delete the notification token.
Using the web app
Naija Table is served from www.9jatables.com.ng by our hosting provider, which processes your IP address, request details and technical logs to deliver and protect the app.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
Naija Table has no advertising, analytics, session recording or behavioural tracking.
Children
Naija Table is for people aged 13 and older. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete any information we hold about you, including under Nigeria’s Data Protection Act 2023 and the EU’s GDPR. Email privacy@asterahub.app. We may need to confirm a request comes from the account holder before acting on account data.
Changes
We’ll update this page when the app’s data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
